TECHNOLOGY

CarVi ADAS algorithms process video frames fed from a camera unit, identifying the key attributes of the driver’s lane, lanes on either side of the driver’s vehicle, and the proximity and speed of the car in front of the driver. These frames are analyzed at a rate of 8 to 12 per second and contribute to two key CarVi features:

In addition to helping drivers stay safe on the road, CarVi reports
driving skills using a special scoring system, SKOR (Skills on the
Road). Your daily SKOR tells you where you excelled, could use
improvement, and most importantly, what you need to do to skew

Not all driving situations are created equal. Unlike other OBD-II
solutions, CarVi puts swift driver decisions (like hard braking or
sudden lane deviation) into context. By using CarVi’s rich data to
analyze the driver’s environment, we’re able to better understand
the reasoning for unlikely movements.

By analyzing factors such as the distance to and speed of the car in
front of you, CarVi is able to accurately determine not only the
braking habits, but the reasons for doing so. These accurate data
points can help fleets, auto insurance and ride sharing companies,
determine whether the driver was truly at fault.

CarVi uses deep learning to make sense of video, learning to
identify what parts of the image are relevant to driving patterns.
Deep learning algorithms help drivers improve driving performance.
It is able to answer contextual questions like:

Are you on a highway
or local road?

country road?

Is there a car in
front of you?

How far ahead
is the nearest car?

Are the lane markings
dotted or solid?

Are you in
the center of a lane?

CarVi also uses machine learning algorithms to teach the system to
recognize good and bad driving habits, categorize driving patterns,

CarVi doesn’t stop working after vehicle is turned off. The
